Zimbabwe Achievers Awards International have announced that all is set for the inaugural edition of the ZAA Canada Awards Dinner Gala set to take place this Saturday the 29th June at Radisson Hotel in Edmonton.

The Canadian edition will roll out its red carpet for the first time under the ZAA banner for the Zimbabwean diaspora community in the North American country on Saturday with a number of notable names and organisations from various fields set to be honoured for outstanding achievements abroad.

ZAA Canada Director Simba Sithole said all logistics are in place for a night of celebrating Zimbabwean excellence.

"All roads in Canada lead to Radisson Hotel on Saturday for our first edition and we are very excited to host our vast and growing community of Zimbabweans and friends here in Edmonton," he said.

"For many years there were calls from our communities to bring ZimAchievers to Canada and we would like to thank our partners and sponsors as well as the wonderful group of achievers and friends who have been flying our country's flag high."

"Everyone can expect an evening of celebration and networking as we continue to unite and recognize each other for inspiring works in the fields of business, sport, arts, media, entertainment among others."

The event will be held at the five-star Radisson Hotel and proceedings will begin at 1800hrs and tickets are still available on www.zimachievers.com/canada/buy-tickets/ and is largely expected to be a success following in the wake of the South Africa and UK editions held in April and May, respectively.

Meanwhile, preparations for the ZAA USA Edition are at an advanced stage with an official announcement expected in the coming days. People are encouraged to submit their USA nominations on www.zimachievers.com/usa/nominations/

The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards were founded in 2010 in the UK by Conrad Mwanza and have grown to have a presence in UK, USA, Australia, Canada and South Africa and recognize and celebrate Zimbabwean achievers in the diaspora.
