MY album won't leak!
Those are Clement Magwaza's words after getting wind that Ndolwane Supersounds' Martin Sibanda's album Konke Sizokulungisa had leaked.
"After what happened to Martin, I'm now keeping a tight lid over my projects. I just played a single from the album and that's about it. I have to make sure that piracy doesn't beat me to the finishing line," he said.
The Makokotsha hitmaker is about to complete work on his album titled Bathi Asoyam.
Local music producer Nathaniel the Oktopus, who runs The Sound Lab, said even though musicians leak their albums for publicity, sometimes pirates were to blame.
"It's rare for local music to leak, but I guess we are now part of the global village so it happens. Despite being a planned publicity stunt sometimes artistes fall prey to tentacles of piracy," said Oktopus.
Sibanda's release date is in May but his album went viral on social media. Reports are that the server of the studio where he recorded was hacked.
