After a prolific few years that have seen her bag roles in some of the biggest series and movies, UK-based Zimbabwean actress Chipo Chung recently added to her list of A-list roles when she got cast on popular American TV series, Into the Badlands.

In the second season of the series which explores a dystopian future in which the rule of law has all but been forgotten and violence is the order of the day, Chung plays a mysterious martial arts specialist only known as The Master.

The second season of the hugely popular series debuted on American TV network AMC a fortnight ago, with Chung's character expected to have a big influence on what direction the series takes this season.

The role is another feather in Chung's cap  after she starred in hit US bible based series AD The Bible Continues and BBC drama, Thirteen.

The 39-year-old Chung is no stranger to smash hit series as she has managed to get roles in some of the most popular series and movies. The actress featured in such productions as Fortitude, Sherlock, The Politician's Husband, Camelot, In the Loop and Doctor Who among others.

Away from the glitz and glamour of television and Hollywood, she has also featured extensively in the London theatre scene where her work has earned rave reviews.
