He seems ready for the world but is the world ready for him?

Hailing from Bulawayo, unheralded teenager Donel Mangena (16), seems to have a bright future in the music industry.

While most 16-year-olds are busy slaying on street corners, Mangena is touching hearts and rocking music lovers in the United Kingdom.

Earning himself a performance in front of the Royal family on Queen Elizabeth's 92nd birthday might have just sealed the deal in the process making him carve a name for himself.

As if that was not enough, the young Zimbabwean muso will tomorrow head for The Voice UK finals and the anticipation is already high.

Being the first Zimbabwean artiste to grace the Queen's event has naturally endorsed Mangena as the next big artiste and winning The Voice UK contest will seal the deal for this young blossoming artiste.

On the Queen's bash Mangena will share the stage with South African Imbube Grammy award winners Lady Smith Black Mambazo, a development that further confirms that Mangena is set to scale dizzy heights.

Mangena's electric and phenomenal performances fused with his native language Ndebele has led him to win a plethora of voters on shrugging off his competitors and even sparking a wild fight on social media on whether he is singing IsiZulu or IsiNdebele.

But who cares?

So far his song choice remains a mystery but with celebrated musician Will.I.am on his corner, it is a no brainer that he will steal the show.

The question is will he go for a straight IsiNdebele song or will he fuse his mother tongue with English as he usually does on his performances?

It is however, certain that his grandmother will dance in pride on the day.

Zimbabweans all over the world have expressed joy with many rating him as a legend before his time as his remix of Pharrel William's song Happy has been regarded as a production from the top drawer.

Good luck messages have been pouring in ahead of the competitions' finals as he goes head to head with Ruti Olajugbagbe, Lauren Bannon, and opera duo Belle Voci.

One of his fans Tasha Sibanda wrote on facebook, "so far you are my favourite and I know you won't disappoint us in winning the 2018 Voice UK."

Will he manage to bring his granny and the rest of Zimbabwe on their feet on Saturday ahead of his much anticipated performance for the Queen?
