5 tips to wake up with ease every morning

Are you tired of getting up in the morning with the feeling like you haven’t slept at all? This may be one of the signs that it’s time to reconsider your lifestyle. Unfortunately, many of us have morning weakness and fatigue. A not very peaceful start of the day, indeed. But, there are many everyday habits changing which may help you wake up in a better mood.

Eat healthy

Did you know that unbalanced diet may cause stress, depression, and even insomnia? When we consume healthy nutrients with every meal, the level of our well-being increases significantly. So it is better to avoid pre-packaged food, fast-food, and other products that contain chemical preservatives or, at least, minimise their amount in a diet as much as it is possible. Taking vitamins and probiotic tablets several times a year won’t be a waste either. They are great supplements to a diet and help boost immune system and overall health greatly.

The quality of sleep is as essential as its duration

Obviously, your bed can either improve your sleep or make it unbearable. So its quality is one of the first things for you to check on. Maybe, your mattress isn’t comfortable for you anymore, which isn’t good for your back, so you might need to replace it. If you have back problems, you can consult your physician and select the type of mattress that is the best for you.

Make your sleep schedule

It may sound boring, but having a sleep schedule helps fix some sleep problems. It is recommended to sleep about 7-8 hours a night. This is the exact amount of time that an average person needs to properly rejuvenate both body and mind. You may also try to go to bed at the same time every evening. With time, such discipline helps us fall asleep faster and have better sleep throughout the night hence we get up in the morning more rested. It is also a good idea to set your favourite song as an alarm so that the first thing you hear in the morning would be something that makes you smile.

Start the day right

Well, let’s face it, we all (or at least the most of us) can’t start the day without a cup of coffee. In most cases, this is the first thing our bodies get after waking up. Coffee enthusiasts know about all its benefits like as antioxidant effect on body, increase of energy and fat oxidation, and many more. But at the same time, caffeine stimulates the excessive production of stomach acid, may lead to insomnia, poor sleep, and as a result, to subdued mood in the morning.

This doesn’t mean, you must stop drinking coffee at all. Just try to adjust this habit a little. For instance, you can start your day with a glass of water and lemon and drink your first cup of coffee only after breakfast. Lemon will give you enough energy to start the day and then you will enjoy your coffee to the full in a healthier manner. You can also drink herbal teas during the day. It’s not the time to ignore sport  

It has been proved that regular physical activity helps reduce stress, get through seasonal depression, boost immunity, and improve the quality of sleep. And these are only a few benefits that a regular workout gives you. Most will agree that eating healthy and staying active helps you increase your stamina and keep fit all the time. Positively, this is a key to healthy body and healthy mind that leaves no space for moody mornings.
