Highly temperamental former Dynamos striker  Rodrick Mutuma, who is now trying his luck at Highlanders was spotted attending  a  church service in Bulawayo.

According to reports, the maverick lanky Mutuma was seen  with Family Covenant Church"s Council of Elders in a Guidance and Counselling session.

He is said to have pledged to shrug off the bad-boy tag.

"I really want to play for Bosso and try to be a better person by avoiding being caught on the wrong side" FokusMag quoted him saying.

"Ndoda kumboita zvebhora, ndaneta nekunyorwa zvakaipa mumapepa (I want to concentrate on football, I am tired of being written about in a negative aspect by the papers)".

Mutumu went through his first training session on Tuesday with Highlanders.

Highlanders head coach  Erol Akbay is said to be  keen to have Mutuma as he had identified his forward line as the main area that needed to be strengthen for the upcoming season.

Akbay expressed satisfaction with the lanky Mutuma after a two-hour training session at Barbourfields Stadium, with the Dutchman boldly declaring, "keep this guy, he fits into our high tempo football", the state controlled Chronicle reported Wednesday.

However, the publication said  Mutuma's possible move has divided Highlanders.
