HARARE City coach Philani "Beefy" Ncube says Highlanders were lucky to leave Barbourfields with a point after the two teams played a goalless draw.

"We should have destroyed them but I just feel it was meant to be like this, but they must thank the Almighty God.

"In actual fact they will find it hard to beat us. I have 69 tricks to beat them and so far I have just used three and I remain with 66.

"To be honest, Highlanders will find it hard to win without Tsano (Cosmas Zulu). He was a good motivator and knew how to psych players," Philani said.

"We missed a number of chances in the first half and in the dying minutes. We need to get points as Harare City and we are now focusing on our game against Shabanie Mine," he added.

Harare City are on 22 points after that draw and it will only take a miracle for them to bounce back into the title race.

They started slowly under Mike Madzivanyika before Beefy took over. They have improved in terms of how they control matches but have not been consistent enough.

"We need to work on making sure that we utilize every chance we have to avoid regrets later

"Our defence has been our strength and I am not worried because we will work on it and make sure that we concentrate,'' said Ncube.

Highlanders coach Erol Akbay was not happy with the draw.

The result leaves Bosso on 32 points, eight behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum.

"We were second on the ball. I do not know if I had a midfielder in that match. It was not just our day and all we need is to work hard. It was not just our good day in the office," said Akbay.
