Government yesterday said MDC-Alliance and its allies who organised demonstrations that degenerated into a spree of violence, arson and looting were liable to claims by members of the public whose property was lost.

'Mnangagwa won't stampede into dialogue with Chamisa'


The ruling Zanu-PF party says it will not be stampeded into dialogue with the opposition MDC-Alliance which it accuses of instigating violence in major cities like Harare and Bulawayo on Monday, working in collusion with its civic society allies.

Mnangagwa to buy 'State-of-The-Art' Russian arms


ZIMBABWE plans to continue its defence and security cooperation with Russia, but needs to build up funds to buy 'state-of-the-art' Russian weapons, President Emmerson Mnangagwa told news agency Sputnik on Tuesday.
