Luxury apartments are perfect for holidays. You will feel you are on a grand vacation when you are in one of these apartments. They are spacious. They have different facilities. There are also shops in the area to make it easier for you to buy whatever you need.

The only downside is the price. These rooms won't be considered luxury if they don't come with a hefty price. The positive thing is that there are things you can do to reduce the cost of luxury apartment rental. Here are some _tips_ to help you.

Be flexible

Some luxury apartments come with 3 or 4 bedrooms. If you are travelling alone or you are staying with your partner, a 1-bedroom apartment would be cheaper, while still offering the same luxury feel. Choosing an apartment with more bedrooms is also a good choice if you are travelling in large groups. You can share the same apartment and divide the cost among yourselves.

Try to broaden your search

Don't just limit your search to a specific area that you know offers luxury apartments. They are other areas that have great apartments too. The views are also fantastic. The place might be quite remote but is still an excellent choice for a grand vacation. If you can find other areas with luxury apartments but the prices are low, you should consider them.

Negotiate the price

It is possible for you to speak with the landlord to discuss the price. You can also ask an agency to help you get a discount. You can offer a deal where you stay for more days in exchange for a more significant discount. Try it and see if it works.

Sacrifice some amenities

The good thing about luxury apartments is they come with amenities that you may not find in ordinary apartments. If you can find essential amenities like Wi-Fi access, parking and swimming pool, it is good enough. You don't need a fitness gym if you don’t intend to use it anyway. You also don't need a laundry service if you can bring enough clothes for the duration of the trip.

Choose the right time

There are peak seasons and off-seasons during the year. The cost during peak seasons can be twice or three times the regular cost during regular seasons. If you compare the price and you see that there is a huge difference, consider moving the date of the trip. If you are yet to book your plane tickets or make other reservations, it is still possible to move the date.

It is understandable for luxury apartments like the Edinburgh apartments to be expensive. Just make sure you don't spend everything on your apartment rental. You will still spend a lot on other things during the vacation. You should find a way to reduce the cost whenever possible. You could choose the same luxury apartment in the future if you are satisfied with your first experience of staying in it.
