ZUJ organises meeting to discuss workers plight following Supreme Court rulings

The Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) has invited all its members to attend a meeting to deliberate on the way forward concerning the plight of workers following the Supreme Court ruling which granted companies to fire workers after giving them three months notice without pay.

In a notice ZUJ said it was  kindly inviting members to attend a discussion on the Topic:  Government's perception on sustainable way forward for workers and employers after the Supreme Court ruling.

"Speaking at the Forum will be a representative from the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Japhet Moyo Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) Secretary General, Munyaradzi Gwisai ISO (Lawyer), Obert Gutu- MDC, Spokesperson and a ZANU PF representative," said ZUJ.

"This discussion will be held on Thursday the 30th of July at New Ambassador Hotel, Quill Club at 3pm. The discussion platform follows the Don Nyamande and Kingstons versus Zuva Petroleum ruling made by the Supreme Court on 17 July 2015 which gave the power to employers to terminate workers contract on notice."
