Zimbabwe looks to Mozambique for cooking gas

Zimbabwe yesterday said it would turn to Mozambique for cooking gas and won a promise of help from Beira suppliers.

This comes amid a critical shortage in South Africa that has hit retailers and suppliers there hard.

Long ques formed this week at depots across the country, suggesting that Zimbabwe is facing a new energy crisis.

ZERA said the shortage is due to South African suppliers' failure to meet local demand.
