The Collin Nyabadza Children's Voice Charitable Trust (CNCVCT) donated 600 books to Somvubu Secondary School in Bubi District on Wednesday 5th August, 2015. In attendance at the colourful event held at the school was, the Member of Parliament for Bubi Constituency, Hon. Clifford Cameroon Sibanda, the Councillor for the Ward, Mr. David Mbizo Sibanda, the Bubi District Education Officer, Mrs. V. Sibanda, the School Head Mr. Khumbulani Sibanda and his staff, the students at the school and School Development Committee members.

The CNCVCT was represented by their Board Chairperson Mr. Siqhubuthetho Dube who is a respectable figure in the area for his work with children and the community. Speaker after speaker hailed the organisation for the work they are doing in helping enhance the quality of education in poor rural schools by helping create favourable learning conditions for the children. In his remarks, Mr. Dube told the gathering that in his organisation the child comes first.

"We are saying no child shall be put down by poverty. Children are the future of any community and nation and thus, we need to invest in them", he added.

In the meantime, the CNCVCT is intensifying its efforts to source more funds and equipment in a bid to reach out to more poor rural schools. These books donated to Somvubu were kindly donated by Books To Africa in the U.K. with shipping costs of £1 054 being provided for by the Strathspey Charitable Trust also in the U.K. The other lot has already been handed over to Umguza Primary School. One of the main areas of concern Mr. Dube's organisation aims at addressing, is the lack of classroom furniture in the majority of these rural schools.
