MDC Alliance National Coordinating  Committee which is chaired by the MDC T Deputy National Chairperson Morgan Komichi officially launches the Alliance in Mutare on Saturday.

While addressing hundreds of Alliance which is made up of MDC T, MDC N, PDP, People FIRST, Zanu Ndonga, Movement for Christian democrats and Transform Zimbabwe at Mutare MDC T office, Morgan Komichi highlighted the importance of the alliance.

"Let us not underestimate any political party in this coming election for every party is of great importance.

"We have to learn from the 2008 election, although we were rigged but we failed to unite. Let us unite so that we free ourselves from the dictatorship of ZANU PF. If MDC T gets 50% without 1% from, for example, TZ, we will not lead Zimbabwe but we will go for a rerun and u know what rerun in Zimbabwe is all about.

"In alliance we have Tendai Biti who  is rated the best finance minister of finance on Africa.

"We have Brigadier Mutambara who has the know how of  how the army is being run.

"We have people who are genius in their respective trades, all these people needs to unite and walk together for the betterment of our country.

"We have also learn from  Zambian election where Edgar Lungu of the ruling party (Patriotic Front) had 1,820,347, Hakainde Hichilema of the biggest opposition got 1,799,988, Edith Nawakwi of Forum for Democracy and Development 24,369 and Andyford Band of People's Alliance for Change got 15,891. If the Zambian opposition were United, they were going to defeat the ruling party.

Meanwhile, Morgan Komichi urges Alliance supporters to mobilize people to go and register to vote and desist from fighting for positions.

"Let us all go and mobilize people to VOTE. We should not fight for positions now for we should all focus on the President of the alliance who is President Morgan Tsvangirai".

The launch was also attended by People first Vice President Munacho Mutezo, MDC T National Women Assembly Chairlady Lynet Karenyi, PDP National Woman Assembly Chairlady Evelyn Masaiti, MDC N Deputy National Chairperson Muchereki, Brian James  and provincial members of all political parties in the Alliance.
