A Chiweshe man allegedly killed his drinking mate accusing him of failing to look after his puppy in Majanga village, Rosa, Chiweshe hence leaving villagers shell shocked.

Kudakwashe Chikukwa (30) was arrested for reportedly committing the cold blooded murder on 12 April 2018 following a dispute over a puppy with Tonderai Albert (50).

Eye witnesses allege Chikukwa and Albert were on a drinking binge at a local shebeen when Chikukwa started accusing his mate of failing to look after his dog and subsequently killed him with open hands.

"The duo had a scuffle over a puppy and Chikukwa fatally knocked Albert with open hands but he did not observe that he killed him and proceeded to look for food to feed Albert's puppy," revealed the source.

Acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Petros Masikati could neither confirm nor was denying saying he at Zimbabwe Trade Fare (ZITF).

"I am currently at ZITF so office issues are not at my disposal at the moment," said Masikati

However, a post-mortem was conducted and results proved that he was assaulted and sustained fractured ribs.

Albert was finally l in Majanga village last Friday.

Apparently, Chikukwa is a gold panner who is well-known "killer" in Chiweshe but does not take stay long in prison.
