MDC Alliance candidate for Highfield West Constituency Happymore Chidziva says he is ready to die while defending the people's vote on 30 July this year.

Speaking at a rally in his constituency, Chidziva who strongly believes that Nelson Chamisa will get a landslide victory said young people are ready to defend the vote with their lives.

"If Mnangagwa (President Emmerson Mnangagwa) and Chigumba (Justice Priscilla Chigumba) want to steal our vote they should steal our lives first," he said.

However, Taurai Garande believes Chidziva should come clean on what sort of action he intends to do in defending the vote adding that Zimbabweans must question him.

MDC Alliance will on Wednesday (11 July) demonstrate against ZEC demanding various electoral reforms which they feel must be addressed first before the country goes for the elections.

This will be the second demonstration by MDC Alliance against ZEC's handling of election process.
