Glendale police officers scrambled for cooking oil at their station this afternoon after the precious commodity was made available by Mega Save shop where police officers were controlling the stampede.

Glendale residents were ordered to buy one bottle of cooking oil at $4.90 bond at the shop where hundreds of residents rushed to buy the precious oil.

Mega save management had to make a special arrangement for police officers by selling two bottles to controlling officers and one bottle to the rest of the officers.

When Bulawayo24.com visited the station some female officers could be heard shouting that it is best for them to make love with the management of Mega Save so as to get adequate cooking oil.

"Mafuta anetsa aya asikana zviri nane tidanane nemaboss acho tiwane mafuta aya!," shouted one officer
